What you're describing sounds like you're taking too much and getting couch-locked. If you ever bother to try again, make sure your edibles aren't pure THC (that they have CBD), and start low and titrate up to your desired experience.
Indica vs sativa is a pretty meaningless distinction these days as a way to describe a *strain*, as most strains for commercial production are hybridized. Head shops that aren't just blowing smoke up your ass are likely talking about flower maturity when delineating indica vs sativa, which affects alkaloids and terpenes... ie the actual profile of fun molecules in the plant matter.

They're gummies, and I'm only taking one. The first two times I took them they had a decent effect but not what I wanted, and the last two times I barely felt anything.
Not that I do it often, maybe once a month with the girlfriend.
