When my first child woke up and stared me in the eyes and said, " I see colors everywhere " Her first words were a complete sentence. The most beautiful thing in the world is watching the spark of humanity blossom and have a hand in shaping it towards the path of intellect and rebellion. My three year old reads and writes, my two year old is well along on sight words.
Before being a father I was rather aimless, riding sport bikes at 160+MPH, forever searching for purpose and never finding anything that inspired me the way my children do. I've done month long backpack trips, sailed, travelled all over the world, and nothing compares.
Maybe getting a fungi is close.
