New player RP DE SK

Hello name is Rytheric, i am a noob, i was a noob back in the 90s and never got past lvl 18 iirc as i played games more for the exploration side of things. I would like to make an attempt to actually make it through the game to cross it off my bucket list. I am planning on roleplaying a somewhat brooding dark elf shadow knight that worships Bertoxxulous because he is rather jaded with life in general and feels Innoruuk worship is overrated and doesn't care for all the hate propaganda. Probably going to post it as a thread story somewhere.

I've read guides but they mainly seem geared towards level 50 stuff or good races and dont really point to where to go or how to progress gear wise.

right now my plan is use quests in neriak as a kind of a bounty for what i should be killing while focusing on gathering bone chips to sell and weapons to sharpen then focus on leather armor, then banded. probably going to spend a lot of time in lavastone/najena to work on bones and blacksmithy til i'm strong enough to start working towards the darkforged armor set. dont know where to go from there or really if thats a good progression. I think previously i made a mag to farm ore in lavastone for black smithing to take advantage of being able to gate.

any suggestions or tips?
