That doesn't really make sense, since the current abortion push is a progressive idea. Keeping abortion limited or illegal is the conservative view.

It makes sense when you realize that America is a one party state and most of the bickering between what we might call the two parties is a dog and pony show specifically meant to keep us divided and fighting one another rather than our true oppressors

Sure, they might bicker about social issues and I will generally agree with the Democrats on most of those, but the end result is still acheived either way: a subjugated population
