Not a fan generally. Although one thing I try to do is not change my tone or mannerisms to “talking to little kid voice” like a lot of teachers and clinicians do. Like I’ll dumb my words down but I’m not going to speak in an overly-excited fake voice because I think on some level kids recognize you are being fake around them
