It was still very much a thing that was extremely easy to do and constantly done on R99 when I played there briefly years ago. Damn near everyone you fight will B-line to the zone if they think they're gonna lose and plug to avoid getting global yellow text that says someone killed them. Like I don't think it's an exaggeration to say 80% of the people I tried to fight (and was winning) would at least make an attempt to zone/plug if I couldn't stop or kill them first. Maybe higher than 80% tbh.
