I personally do not see too much harm in kids being swept up into a fad of identifying as trans. I see it quite a lot in my job. Sadly, I will have to make a CPS report if a parent is completely unaccepting, one of the few CPS reports I don’t feel a lot of satisfaction making, especially when compared to most of them being for serious physical abuse or neglect. But I do it, and I do it as I am trained to without bias

But luckily, this almost NEVER occurs. Most parents take a smart approach of “maybe this is just a phase, maybe it’s a fad, let’s wait and see”. And quite often you hear about the kid changing their mind. That’s part of growing up, trying to figure out who you are

What I think is a big problem is pushing puberty blockers or other serious medications on kids. I have never heard of a family reporting doing this however, and if they did, I would have to leave my personal opinion on the matter out of the discussion still
