Germany had a 5 party representative parliament post WW1. Antifa, which was the largest of the five, resorted to street violence, and an uncompromising brunt upon the political process which drove all 3 of the other parties to consolidate under the Nazi umbrella. Hitler was never voted into power. When all 4 of the parties opposing antifa's bullshit consolidated, the legislature appointed Hitler as the Grand Chancellor.

Yeah there would almost need to be some sort of setup to preserve the parties, because it seems to be human nature to want to form a Zerg to crush everything
