What's so bad about buying coin for rl cash if they allow people to purchase characters? All the coin farmers do is cause inflation, which happens anyway. Players like me will always be poor compared to people that spend their time farming and playing the market, so a little more inflation brought about by chinese sweatshops hardly makes a difference. imo ofc
Well other than the legal implications, the fact that you could have someone with zero clue how to play buying characters. I mean, that could still happen now, but it's less likely given that you need to farm up a shitload of plat to buy a decent character, which requires playing a lot, or receiving a generous gift.

I do hate the Chinese farmers though. I remember in vanilla WoW I used to spend hours in that little area south of Light's Hope in EPL griefing the 20 China farmer rogues that would always hang out there. After about 15 minutes you'd start getting tells like "ni hao.... you plz stop kill?" and I'd say "Okay, sorry!" then proceed to rape them some more. They'd try to gang up like 5 on you all at once and still DIAF because all they know how to do is farm gold. That was some fun shit right there.

I suppose I could feel like a dick since doing that could cost them their bowl of rice to eat for dinner, but fuck it, survival of the fittest and shit.
