One side is going: "Hey it looks like we kind of understand this better now 12 months out, and it's not that it's no big deal, but maybe we should re-think how we are approaching handling this disease"
The other side is going "NO! It's as bad as people say and always has been and you don't care about dead grandmas and every single piece of information I have about this pandemic is 100% unassailable and I am utterly unwilling to consider any contrary information!!!"
But apparently *we're* the ones politicizing things and being unreasonable and unwilling to have our minds changed. Right.
