The point is that people don’t have confidence in going out because they’re afraid. Leadership might’ve mitigated that. Procedures for minimizing infection certainly would’ve. China, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea are open for business

People are afraid because they're being told this is worse than it is. More importantly they are being told they can actually have a meaningful impact on it's spread. The data does not show this. I'm certainly afraid of car accidents but it doesn't mean I sell my car and weld myself in my home. Life has risks.
