The North Korean government offered this as proof-of-life:

Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un has sent his appreciation to the workers who devoted themselves to building the Wonsan-Kalma tourist zone.

The world is speculating out loud that KJU is dead. He hasn't been seen for weeks. His government offers as proof that he lives a statement that he has sent a letter to some workers saying thanks.
