Well, this has been good toilet reading. And it's convinced me of two things:

1. I think I want to role an Erudite and join DMO; they seem like fun people to be around.

and

2. Sethius has honed smug self-satisfaction to the very finest of arts; but I'm not sure if he realises that it's less funny and endearing than it is insufferable and obnoxious; or, worse, he's one of those people that does realise as much, and is proud even of that (taking all negative reactions to himself as proof thereof), which just contributes to the smug self-satisfaction in a terrifying, exponential feedback loop.
