Consent is really important, I otherwise totally agree here. We have lost our will and our way to be affectionate in a consenting and caring way as a generation.

I had a particularly rough time with this as I was physically assaulted and held down a lot against my will. My last suicide attempt was because I was so afraid of affection or possibly returning it I thought no good could come from me. It was truly awful. Sometimes I feel like I succeeded and I was resurrected and given a chance to come back and be with the ones I care about. I don't know.

It especially creeped me out when the gentle doctors would put their hands on my collarbone to steady themselves while they listened to my heart. I know they meant well, but the desire to withdraw was overpowering.
