FPS Issue

I was curious if anyone else has ever had the following issue. I recently logged back into green after a week break to find that I was having issues with bad FPS/stuttering. I never remembered having the issue before, so I minimized the game (single screen peasant here) and began searching for an answer.

I kept my browser open (previously having nothing running besides the game) and saw that all my FPS issues were gone once I went back into the game. Played for a while and saw no issues at all anymore.

However, I minimized again and closed out my browser. I got back into the game and the FPS issues were back. I minimized again, and pulled up some random websites just to have a stuff in the background. I went back into the game and all FPS issues were gone again.

For those that aren’t as ignorant as I am when it comes to any form of technology.. why is this happening with P99? It doesn’t make any sense to me that my game would only run well while something is pulled up in the background.
