Imo split should always be off, all it does is make junk currency and adds extra weight needlessly.
Just share turns looting or manually split every so often is better / less annoying Nothing worth rage quitting or exploding on anyone for thou... A simple "hey split makes a bunch of junk currency that weighs me down could you please turn it off" would have been sufficient
