I did my own simplified spin on Loraen's guide half a year ago, except meant specifically for new players:

It's not perfect but I think it mostly works.

The most glaring overstatement on Loraen's guide is the 10 rating for bard solo. That was true when they could pull entire zones but the mob cap and lazy agro set it back a few points, imo. Other than that it's still pretty accurate.
