Skip the mail quests unless you want to do them for nostalgia purposes.
For money and XP quests do either the: -Gnoll Fang quest (turn in to warrior guild master in Halas) or - Rabid Grizzley/Rabid Wolves quest (loot putrid/diseased hide, turn it into one of the Cleric GM's in the spaceship in Qeynos.) The rabid grizzly quest is especially profitable, netting you 2pp + a spell that sells for another 2pp, and a load of xp.
