Anyone else failing to log in to various zones since patch?

This is the weirdest bug - I never had such a selective failure before (unless certain zones were down, which they are not):
Can not log in characters in
- Great Divide (had to terminate EQ)
- Firiona Vie (timeout + kick to login screen)

Barely able to log in:
- East Commonlands (just before timeout, loading finished)

No problems:
- Neriak
- Grobb

Is this the new network code or are the "nasty" zones running on the same server with an overpopulated chardok 2.0?

Edit: FV timeout kicked me to login screen, not character selection
