I've seen the robe drop from "a gargoyle guardian" in the CS zone out room and off the named guardian right becore the maze, so it can drop from both types of guardians.

They should not drop from any but named guardians according to numerous alla comments and I have never seen any piece drop from the unnamed on this server.
