I can't believe I just hit 50 on my wizard.

I started in Project 99 in 2017 I think with a bard and shaman. I was sure I wanted a bard and recently got him to 49 so far, and he was going to be my main. I made a "port alt" and somehow overshot my main because I enjoyed it so much. Its a shame hes using not my "main" name I make characters which my shaman has :P My shaman is a barb shaman stuck at 37 because ive been debating re rolling him away from superior fashion to being troll or ogre for those benefits. hard choice so he sits. I did the older bread quest video with him ;D

Anyway, its an important level, 50 for me.. because on Live, I only played until Luclin since classic, on Rallos Zek, and the highest I ever got a character was a Necromancer to 49. Necros get so good at 49 I was just addicted to using him to kill people at that point and burned out leveling on wyverns I remember. Ive never really seen the Plane of Knowledge that everyone is so familar with other then video or pictures. In years, I never did any raids and very few groups

Thanks to a post by kb2005 on reddit with this map https://imgur.com/EfgF5kO I was able to swarm petrifiers in DL to get to 50 tonight on my wizard after such a hard time in the 40's. Except instead of quadding, I was bonding 12 of them and using thunderstrike PBAOE because I am insane.

I am happy I joined Dial a port because I never would have got Jboots otherwise, and its nice to pass two 49 characters I had, both in classic (the necro on RZ), and my bard here. I guess this might now be my main?

I don't expect to hit 60 on any character, I heard it takes like three times the time, and I certainly don't expect to ever get any epics, because I play classes with unobtainable epics for people like me.

The journey so far was fun. Kurns, Guk, some highkeep, overthere and FV cliffs, killed a few wyverns. I joined two groups basically in the time, in highkeep, and one funny story where a guild accidentally invited me to a kael platehouse group thinking I was in their guild when I was looking to tag for faction, and I also didn't realize it was a "guild only" event either and didn't notice they were all in the same guild ;P

So after my highest achievement on an everquest character being level 49 Necro for 19 years, its now.. a wizard. Whoda thunk it.
