It's not a matter of the rules, it's a matter of being a douche.
If these people were competing then they'd be getting to the repopped frogs faster then the OP on occasion instead of only swooping in when a named appears. People who quote rules as the reason for why they can do XYZ are really just justifying the fact that they're dickheads.
