I found reverse-charming to be the best way to PL someone once you're past the teens (before then a chanter can pl a lot like a druid/sham mix, since they can stack illusion and ds pot/feedback and use buffs and runes and whatnot). Charm something a bit higher than the stuff you want the PLee to be killing, buff it up, keep it rooted, and throw charms at it, breaking them at low life with invis ring. PLee finishes the (likely fleeing) mob off while you repeat.
