Root vs Enstill vs Immobilize

Epic root rotting you should use Enstill until you get PE. It lasts almost exactly the same amount of time as the epic click so it's easy to keep up when you're rotting 3+ mobs at a time. Normal root runs out too quickly in this instance. Mana cost isn't an issue either, with regrowth + troll regen + iksar chestplate I am always full hp. Even if you play a lesser race and don't have the chestplate you'll probably still have plenty of hp from regrowth for canni.
