choosing class help please

hey im new here but been playing with the wife on live for a few months im a wiz there but im reading here wiz not so good in classic. soo now im trying to decide what to be i like casting just standing in the back hitting mobs.

so what class is best grouping and raiding caster mage/enc/druid or necro?
