yeah ooc is bad also. New player perspective ---- checks boards before logging in sees trolling.... Logs in game sees ooc trolling..... No gm intervention....player never logs in again

Everquest (1999) was a social MMORPG where players talked to eachother using the in-game chat channels.

There are convenient features to filter/disable channels and ignore specific players. GMs were employed to assist with (not babysit) players experiencing problems they couldn't solve on their own.
