Better to max stun for the damage because it helps more with getting kills and farm is fine without early cleave. I buy full wand first because I can buy shield from the shop after first wave like I did, but I would need courier to complete the wand which has obvious downsides. I didn't build BKB because other items gave me more damage and BKB wasn't needed. Its also more fun to hit harder. Thanks for your opinion though. And you should think for yourself instead of following bandwaggons.
