If anything the lack of people working to better themselves, and understand their rights, and the rights of others, and their history and society are doing everything to undermine "western ideals".

No one is attacking your "ideals". You are eroding them beyond rational application and attacking the very people who would defend your ideals in ignorance.

Western Ideals are incompatible with Islamic ones. That my only point there. Beyond that I think the West has a rather diverse set of understandings on what those ideals mean. And that healthy ^^ Some are more praiseworthy than others, but Islam is incompatible with all of them. That all I saying ^^
