The Sneaksy Gnome (Adventure!)

The druids agreed to help me....and eventually, after many more days of walking through the great divide from the teleporting rings, I made it back to Thurgadin.

But no matter where I searched, I couldn't find the magic dark elf!!!

As I sat in despair....I heard the sound of tiny footsteps behind me.

It was a skeleton!!!!

"Is this an ambush?! YOU WANA FITE ME?!"

"What? No! I saw you looking for the dark elf....I thought I was the only one, the only one he had shrunken...."

"He did this to you too?!"

"Many years ago.....when I was....still alive...."

"Oh, sorry you are a skeleton now. Don't feel bad, I'm part skeleton too you know!"

".....anyhow, I think I've discovered at long last how to reverse this curse. We need some of the dwarven ale! If it can grow hair on a dwarves face, surely it can grow us too!"

"Yea, that makes sense. You are a smart skeleton!"

And with that....we both headed to the nearest bar!

"I'll have your finest dwarf ale please!"

"That'll be 2 gold pieces"

I pulled out my moneys (from my secret money purse, of course)....but the dwarf refused to take it! Apparently all my treasure had been shrunk along with me....my gold coins were nothing but gold dust now!

"We...were so close....what will we do now?"

"STAND BACK MR SKELETON! I GOTS AN IDEA!"

My money might have been shrunk....but maybe we could earn the ale! With entertainment!

I rummaged around in my pack and grabbed a few things I always keep on me....then tinkered it together as fast as I could.

"Time for....tiny fireworks!!!"

As I had done at the halflings city before, I put on the best show in thurgadin!! Fireworks everywhere!

The dwarves were so impressed they gave us a stein of ale.

"You did it Sneaksy! Now we can be whole again!!"

"No! WE did it mr skeleton!!"

We climbed up on the brim of the ale....ready to take a drink and surely break this curse...

But....as the skeleton went to drink.....it only dribbled out over his ribcage. It seems no matter how much he wanted to drink it, he just didn't have the stomach for it!!

"Sneaksy....you must drink without me.....it is....too late for me...."

"No!!! I can't leave you mr skeleton!!! We have to do this together!"

"It is impossible for me....go, become big again....live your gnome life, find treasure....for us both!"

"I'll never forget you mr skeleton!" I said, looking down into the stein of ale....

"And I you Sneaksy!"

With that, I drank the ale and grew back to my normal size. When I turned around though, I couldn't see the skeleton any longer .... for he was too small.

The tiny skeleton still walks the halls of Thurgadin, forever cursed. Some say they have seen him! Though only for a moment as he is too tiny to keep track of.

I'll find a cure for him one day though!! One day!!!
