every pug group needs a tank, healer, and cc, so you're best playing classes that fit those roles. you won't always find a group within 60 seconds of putting up lfg but you'll almost always get one in a reasonable time. honorable mention would go to monks and shamans, both very useful classes that frequently are in your XP group, there are just a huge number of them so their spots are more or less saturated. sometimes you'll see monks in the tank role because of this saturation.
