new cars are garbage
- tiny porthole windows thanks to pedestrian impact safety standards. my tiny coupe has more glass than some crossovers.
- almost 1 foot of empty space between the engine and hood thanks to pedestrian impact safety standards.
- cheap plastic interiors, interior rattles, fake leather, shitty "touch" buttons that have no physical feedback.
- forced to option touch screen (re: ugly interiors) to get performance options.
- low build quality; my 28 year old shitbox has better panel gaps than some 2016 $100,000 cars for example Teslas. Open & shut the door on a 2016 bmw and do the same with an e30. You can tell right away which one was made in Germany.
- designed so you can't work on them, some even designed so indie mechanics can't work on them, have fun being a slave to the dealer.

i have people offer to trade 201* cars for my 28 year old bmw all the time, sometimes with cash on top. i laugh every time.
