Yes, the mob should be pulled directly to your camp after FTEing.

Ive seen raid mobs get picked up pretty much all over the zones they spawn in, sometimes directly from the oppositions camp after they wipe ( old fashioned 'caw caw') . Every situation is different and unique - the beauty of EQ.
