Where's your spirit of mystery, of the unknown consequences that you might encounter? If you could sit in EC and /who your way into figuring something to do, you would never get anything done because
a.) ah crap, there's 18 people in solb, no doubt every possible camp is taken by a full group.
b.) damnit, there's like 10 50's in lower guk, everything is camped and being farmed i'm sure.
c.) Oh wow, there's x amount of people in xxx zone, why would i bother making that trip?
d.) etc etc
The point is, you would sit on your ass in EC and be pessimistic about every possible scenario, because you would know exactly how many people, at what levels, are in any particular zone, at any time. That simply sounds foolish and boring.
Have a little adventure, take some risks, or rely on the information of other people (maybe that level 20 in the zone that you want to head to) when inquiring about who might be camping what. Asking for help/a simple camp check from a lowbie in a random zone can actually lead to a friendly conversation!
TL;DR /role, /anon saves fun; no /role, /anon kills fun!
