Um.... Clearly you miss the metaphorical statement being made. The boys father was not at the Zoo that morning. In-fact it's led speculators to believe the boy is without a father at all. When little Timothy saw Harambe he thought it very well could be a new dad for him. Therefore the point being... It wasn't the Gorilla that died that very day... It was the love for a father.
