New Player - Project 1999

Hey guys, just started up on Project 1999! I actually tried it out a few years ago, but I've lost my account since then. I didn't get too far though, so that's no big deal. I played EQ back around 1999, but I was in elementary school at the time, so I never was any good at it. I know my way around Kelethin and Freeport more or less, but actually don't know all that much about the game, especially at higher levels (by higher I mean 25+).

I got Project 1999 up and running on Xubuntu/Linux. The forum guides were pretty straight forward about it. I installed it normally onto my Windows 10 machine (not in Program Files folder), ran it once, then copied the folder onto a thumb drive to put onto Xubuntu.
