<Archers Vow> The Journey Continues!

I knew my time around the dragons city was making them suspicious...I was asking lots of questions about Wuoshis habits and my wild interest in her bow probably wasn't helping.

So, to throw the dragons off my track, I decided to go hunting a bit around the area. "Dragons? No no, I would never! I'm just here to hunt tigeraptors!".

The next day or two I spent hunting them....until, one day, a giant tigeraptor appeared....the tigesaurous!!!

Luckily for me it hadn't spotted me, so I had the advantage...kind of...

Either way, I couldn't let it stand in my way! I had to keep the dragons from getting suspicious!

So I carefully set my traps....and planned my attack....this would take everything I had.

When the battle began, it ran straight at me....rampaging through my traps! None of them able to slow it!!

Even worse is it could run almost as fast as I could!!! Not to mention its immense size!!

I ran back towards my final trap....and finally, it was snared....now I could do my work.

I pelted it with arrows and summoned my swarms of wasps to help. Resnaring it, rooting it, and using all my mana to keep it under control. The battle went on for what seemed like forever...every now and then it closing the gap on me and taking a bite of elf.

It had me down to 25% life...but I too had it hurt. Should I run? One more bite and I wouldn't have the chance anymore.....

No! I had to defeat it! It was stopping me from hunting the raptors!

So I stayed, putting my life on the line as I used the last of my mana to summon a final grasping roots.

Thankfully the roots took hold and gave me the final advantage I needed....the victory would be mine!!! When I looked over the body, I decided to take its tigeraptor skin, I wasn't quite sure what it was for....but seemed pretty good quality and it would be a shame to waste it -shrugs-

After its death I was free to continue hunting for a while longer and collected a lot more skins. But, as an archer, I had an even bigger problem on my hands.

Apparently dragon cities don't sell arrows!!! Likely from their fear of archers (which is pretty understandable). I had been hunting for quite a while, and traveling all the way back to Thurgadin was quite a walk....

As I was resting inside thinking of what to do, a band of other adventurers appeared.

Luckily one of them was a magician!! Who summoned me bags and bags of new arrows to keep hunting!

The adventurers also noticed the skins I had in my bags. Before they left they told me it could be used for some pretty fancy archers armor....humm, I had to learn more.

After some research I discovered that tigeraptor skins do make some pretty amazing archers armor!! It was just what I needed to prepare for my hunt against Wuoshi!! I had heard she wouldn't be waking up for another day or two, so I had time....if I hurried.

Humm, but first I would need to gather more ingredients..... drake oil? Velium studs? Ok, one at time!

Well, I knew drake oil was made from drake eggs....and being so near a dragons city, I was pretty sure there were drakes inside too (whatever a drake was)....I just needed to find some of their eggs....somehow.

So, I went to explore more!

It wasn't long until I came across the creatures I had met before....they seemed a lot like drakes to me....so I went to ask them for their eggs. In retrospect, it was probably a little rude.

They said they weren't drakes though! They were wyverns!! And told me to leave before they ate me.

So I kept looking....and eventually found some baby dragons, were these drakes?

I asked them if THEY were drakes...but they just ignored me. Too stuck up to talk I guess? I noticed a lot in the dragon city were like that.

Oh well, I was pretty sure they were drakes. So I concealed myself and tracked them back to their rooms.....borrowing a few eggs for later. Mission success!!
