Daoc's learning curve is pretty easy at the beginning; the game pretty much tells you where to go and what you need to do up till around lvl 20.
Like any other game, especially based around pvp, there is quite a bit of end game learning to do to be a real 'master' at the game. I would say the game is mostly based around having good gear. Skill is definately something that can balance out a fight but when it comes to a super geared out noob fotm caster vs a pro that just hit 50 there is very little chance of winning for the pro. Player crafted gear is almost always built into an end game build too and you can do well with just player made stuff too if you dont like to pve much. The game really shines in pvp and whereas im not 100% sure about uthguard you can level almost 100% in pvp on live (not so much anymore with the lack of people playing live, but you get the idea). Damn you guys, makin me want to play again. | ||
