Yeah I made a post like this in beta/early Velious, nothing was ever fixed.

There are a bunch of dragon AE's set to procs with too large of a AE range. Zlandikar's stun breath is another one. Most of the Sapara's have Von's AE. Need a warrior using Evasive and slow to mitigate it.

Zlandicar's Stun breath should be a single target proc, not an AE.

Chaos Flux has range that is just fine. If your entire group is at his tail and your tank is at max Melee at his head, those at the tail are not hit by the AE.

NPCs procing AEs in such rapid succession though does sound peculiar. I don't think they should be firing this often. Sontalak is another example where the AE Fire nuke procs far too often. Most of these should most likely have a 12 second recast time, even though they are flagged procs.

It is very evident when you watch the classic video of the Sontalak fight on YouTube. The AE is triggering every 12-14 seconds as though it's on a recast timer. Never once does a double proc occur and never once does it go longer than 14/15 seconds without an AE firing.

As for Von, Cargalia and the Saparas which all share this AE though, it's tough to find hard evidence on its frequency. I'd wager they probably should be just like Silverwing. Cast the AE every 12 seconds.
