My introduction

Greetings! I am new to the project 1999 scene and wanted to a bit of and introduction to tell you all about who I am!

I have been a gamer for almost 30 years, cutting my teeth on the atari 2600 and the apple IIGS back in the 80s. Back in the 90s I was a fan of multiuser dungeons and early graphical mmos like underlight, Ultima online and asherons call. When everquest came out, I was chomping at the bit to play it and loved every second of it. Being 16 at the time, I didn't have the patience to really dig into the game, always playing for a few hours before making a new character and starting from scratch.

I tried to get back into everquest recently, but found the changes in how it plays a bit jarring, making me look for other options and stumbling onto this. I have to say I am ecstatic to play the game and participate in the community. I am a role player by heart and have never concerned myself with the, "right way," to play a game. I am not concerned with being effecient. Instead, I love to interact with others and help out.

Anywho, I can't wait to see you all out there in the wilderness. I am currently playing an ogre shaman named ughthonk. Only level 4 but you have to start somewhere.
