I look at it this way, consider this server as a server that doesn't allow multiple connections from the same ip. If you do get an exemption, it's a privilege, and it's up to you to make sure it doesn't appear that you're abusing it. Because if you start making excuses (guy is getting me a beer) then everyone could have one and i'm sure we'd hear some really good excuses.

Also it's worth noting that the people who get banned for 2 boxing are the ones who probably do MOST of the time have 2 people playing from the same IP, but then there's the temptation of 2 boxing just because you can... and that's when you'll get caught.
Okay. So it's a privilege and you must appear that you aren't abusing it. What constitutes appearing to be abusing it? Why do you assume that the "appearing" situations are obvious? I'm saying perhaps these situations should be highlighted by GMs so people know what sort of behavior can be considered two-boxing. To reiterate, highlighting these situations will not aid two-boxers because offenders will likely be the ones who are ultra-careful. Innocent people aren't going to carefully consider "suspicious" behavior. I don't think the burden should be put on innocent people to decide what behavior is wrong, which is why I suggest GM should draft a small list of things that can be construed as suspicious. They can easily copy and paste this to a person when they grant an IP exemption saying PLEASE READ . I think this would tremendously help innocent people avoid complications and is the prudent course of action to insure people don't run into unnecessary problems.
