Ya but the 4 other people are giving you a bigger bonus, which equals more exp per kill. Do you understand how exp bonus works here?

With server bonus you get +50%
With group member added you get +40%


100 base experience
+50 for server
+40 for group member
= total of 190 Exp, or 85 exp per person

The bard is saying he would rather get 150 exp per kill than the 85 exp per kill.

If you take that same 100 and add in 40 for 5 other group members it is 350 total exp, divided by 6, is just 58 exp per person.

If the group kills mobs just as fast as the guy soloing would, it is not beneficial for the person to be grouped.
