Game Mechanics: 2H Slashing - Skillup Bug

I recently made a paladin for fun, decided to get a 1hb, 1hs, and 2hs to keep up on skills. All skills I've trained; including non-weapon skills all level with use. Though for some reason, I cannot level 2H Slashing from use. I spent Practice points on 2HS at a GM to see if it works or fixes the bug(i've spent 24 now, so it's at Value 24), but attacking NPCs that yield exp do not. I've tested it extensively, even with haste and dexterity buffs, and still no skill-ups with 2HS. The paladin is currently level 10 so most skills seem to cap at 55 value. Again, all skills seem to level just fine, but 2HS just wont.
