New to classic EQ

Hey, to start my names David.

I love more classic/older games, I played Tibia (2D MMO that first went online in 95 then became an official game/company in 99) from 2002 until about 2009 when it became far to bot infested. I then played WoW for some time but it was kind of 'meh' for me. I then jumped around between games and took long hiatuses from MMOs trying to figure out what I was missing. Then EQ1 went F2P so I gave it a go and found that was it; older classic games from an earlier time.

Fast forward I recently heard about Project 1999 which gives a real classic EQ experience, needless to say I was excited. I am obtaining a copy of EQ Titanium edition now and will be online maybe for a bit tonight but most of the day tomorrow for sure.

For a new EQ player what would be a good class to start with?
