Pras to the volunteer staff. Last time I checked it was $15 per month for me to play my previous addicting MMORPG before I came back to EQ and found P99. Been on the server roughly two years, and while it's not a huge sum of money, I haven't spent $360ish in subscription fees over the last two years. Classic EQ, which I'm sure we can all agree we love and are here for, for FREE. Show me a better fucking deal for entertainment of this nature. This fucking constant whining is what really is ruining these forums....think outside the box of porn/racism/the vast majority of Kaga posts which usually end in me wishing I had that much of my life back. A classic guild bashing thread is always appreciated as well.

Staff are not always 100% right on everything, but I still support whatever they do because fuck it, free EQ. Anything more, are really just the shrieks of the over-immersed forum dwellers. Everyone understands why the ass thread no longer exists, and making changes under the Daybreak tinfoil conspiracy is fine if it's looking like it'll break their terms of service.

Moving gif/cat pic threads and other stuff though? Nothing to do with Daybreak. It's overmoderation for its own sake. We've had years of good times in here. I still support the staff but I'm asking nicely not to go to this level on the forums.

One of the key indicators of a healthy community is the forums - Epicemu is one I like to bring up. They didn't do forums at all well. They navigated badly, and people who posted up complaints had them instantly deleted...so there was no dialogue between staff and players. Result? Nobody posted up things that were wrong or needed fixing anymore or felt like the forums were a place they wanted to visit.

P99 has a great community, lets not shit up the forums with moderation on stuff that Daybreak isn't going to give a toss about [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
