That's not big. One of mine would deliberately act funny wandering around the house until he got someone's attention, then would start a race running from corner to corner of the carpeted rooms trying to poop before we got to him, taking of and trying in another corner when we got within reach of him until we finally caught him, then he'd be licking his lips beaming with pride that he'd provoked us.

Ferrets are the ultimate teasers, just look for videos of them pissing off cats. Same fert would love to go for walks and then intimidate the neighbourhood cats by checking them out and trying to sniff their tummies almost knowing by instinct how protective they are that area.
