Uberom. Me and my buddy have a mage/shaman setup, and I was curious if you think this would work without the mez? We want to get down to Efreeti and camp it!
Imps are a royal pain to slow, and you'd have 0 ability to get the mobs off of the shaman even if you were successful slowing, outside of spamming root.

I've seen shaman who were convinced their god-given reason to be at efreeti was to slow mobs die repeatedly.. even in full groups. also without a complete healer your mage is basically going to have to chain pet... which wipes aggro and gets mobs ticked at the shaman all over again.

Factor in the idea that neither of you have any real form of mana regen, it'd be one helluva break in. Oh, and you can't lull either, so you're really in for one heckuva fight.

If you tossed in a necro, at least you'd get bonus heals, one class with mana regen, an added pet for dps, and ghetto mes. We used to break and hold freeti with 2 necros and a druid all the time, altho it was more for the thrill of it than the practicality of it. You simply can't beat ENC/CLR for the slow safe method, or ENC/MAG for the faster, less-safe method. Tbh even an ENC / NEC would be a better combo than shm/mag.
