I am a CPA for a large investment bank, where I work 50ish hours a week (when things are slow). I have a family which anyone in my guild will tell you I put before the game - you will never see me online on a weekday before 8:30 PM when i've had dinner with them and put my son to bed. Whatever mold you have in your mind that hardcore raiders must fit in to, I assure you, I do not fit that mold. In fact, most people in these guilds probably don't. EQ takes a lot less time than you think it does if you are doing it in a focused manner with specific objectives. What drew me to P1999 was the allure of reliving my great high school and college memories of raiding these gods and dragons the first time around. I am having a blast doing it. To me, that is one of the things I do for fun. I have no idea what drew you (or some of the other people who choose to play the game with different objectives than myself) here, but I don't see how our choices impact you at all or why you are so worked up over them.
