Even if you added just the shield to a naked erudite their stats dont compare to a naked dwarfs.

There's nothing you can add to a dwarf toon to make it look even 1/10th as good as a half-elf or erudite, and base attributes just aren't important in EQ. A guise of the deceiver would help, of course, but they don't drop anymore.
