Considering trying this

Hey there everyone!

I currently play FFXIV, a different MMO, and enjoy it thoroughly. However, I'm looking for something to play on the side. I played my first MMO when I was 9 years old, and that was Everquest. Being so young back then (I'm 21 now) I obviously wasn't able to fully appreciate what the game was, being a kid. I still loved it though, logged on every day, and honestly don't know if I ever made it past level 40.

What I'm saying is, I want to experience Everquest, but I've played the "real" servers only to find it's nothing like the Everquest I knew back in the day. Is this place active? Is the community great? And would this be a good opportunity for me to appreciate and experience Everquest in an unadulterated state?
