Watching sports is for people who are too fat to play sports, but want to live vicariously. Affiliate themselves with a team so that they can experience accomplishment in their otherwise pointless existence. Go play football if you like football.

Or maybe there are many reasons why a person may like a certain activity. Boiling it all down to a single thing as if there are tens of millions of people that are too fat to play sports but want to live vicariously is the height of small-minded thinking.
